What Aspects Of Your Bathroom Should You Pay Attention To Before Installing A Siphon Toilet?

What aspects of your bathroom should you pay attention to before installing a siphon toilet?

1. Determine the way your bathroom is drained:

Is it a ground row, a wall row, or the same floor drainage?

The floor drain means that the sewage outlet is on the ground, the wall row is that the sewage outlet is on the wall, and the drainage on the same floor means that the bathroom floor is lowered by 300-350mm, which can conveniently arrange the location of the sewer pipes. Both the floor row and the drainage on the same floor can choose the floor row toilet, while the wall row needs to choose the wall row toilet. Most dwellings today are ground row.

Second, the pit distance problem!

When purchasing a smart toilet, there will definitely be a choice of pit distance. What the hell is 305mm and 400mm? Come on, let's talk:

1. What is the pit distance:

The pit distance refers to the distance from the center of the toilet sewage pipe to the wall (emphasis: it must be after the tiles are laid)

2. How to choose the pit distance for new decoration

Be sure to confirm the pit distance of your home before purchasing. If the measured pit distance is between 295-390mm, choose 305mm pit distance. If the measured pit distance is greater than 390mm, choose 400mm pit distance.

3. How to judge the pit distance when changing the toilet

If you already have an ordinary toilet in your home, but you don’t know the pit distance, and you want to replace the smart toilet, you can ask downstairs, upstairs, downstairs, or the property. Same.

Or measure the distance between your toilet and the wall. If there is a gap of more than 7CM, it is recommended to choose 400. If it is close to each other or the gap is small, it is recommended to choose 305. 90% of families generally choose 305 pitches.

3. Confirm whether there is a shifter

1. What is a shifter:

As mentioned above, the standard pit distance in the bathroom is 300mm or 400mm. If the pit distance is non-standard, then a shifter is required to shift.

The position of the toilet needs to be moved left and right, and a shifter also needs to be installed. Shifter: You can consult the property, whether your home is a shifter or an extended pipe, and how long the shift is.

2. Confirmation method of the shifter:

You can consult the property, whether your home is a shifter or an extension pipe, and how long the shift is.

3. Applicable distance of the shifter:

The distance within 50cm;

Every time the shifter is lengthened by 10cm, the pipeline needs to be raised by 0.5cm to form a slope.

Fourth, determine whether there is a trap

1. What is the water trap: The water trap is an accessory with a certain height of water column set on the drainage pipe of the sanitary appliance or inside the sanitary appliance to prevent the gas in the drainage pipe system from entering the room. The water column of a certain height in the water trap is called for water seal.

2. Confirmation method of water trap:

To determine whether there is a trap, consult the property, or you can pour the water into the pipe and look at it with a flashlight. If there is water in it, there is a trap. If there is no water, there is no trap. If there is a trap, a siphonic smart toilet cannot be installed, because The siphonic toilet already has its own water trap (as shown in the figure below). If there are double water traps, the probability of blockage will be higher than that of ordinary ones. It is not recommended to install it unless there are special circumstances.

2. There is a water trap but still want to install a siphon smart toilet solution:

Specifically divided into:

Measure 1: Change the water trap:

Residents who need to drain the water from the compartment can negotiate with their downstairs neighbors to change the water trap to an L-shaped elbow.

A. Flange ring opening: open the flange ring more than 20mm;

What is the flange ring: The toilet flange ring connects the toilet with the water outlet, and is installed at the bottom of the toilet water outlet. The odor from the sewer pipe came back. It is convenient to locate the toilet during installation, to avoid the phenomenon that the toilet sewage outlet deviates from the sewage pipe after installation, and it is sealed to prevent odor and leakage. It is convenient for future maintenance work. Once the toilet is blocked, the toilet can be easily moved, and the sewage outlet will not be damaged due to the use of cement.

Excellent: Simple operation, saving time and effort

Disadvantage: There is a little bit of odor, and it may overflow; under normal circumstances, it will not;

Note: The glass glue should not be completely sealed

B. Ground opening: Drill more than 20mm from the ground to the sewage pipe;

Excellent: the hole is bigger and smoother

Disadvantage: There is a little bit of odor, and it may overflow, but there is basically no under normal circumstances.

Note: The glass glue should not be completely sealed

Excellent: no odor, no overflow, smoother

Disadvantage: The operation is relatively complicated;

If the water trap problem is not solved, only the flush toilet can be installed

5. Check the waterway

There should be a water outlet within about 0.5m of the installation location of the smart toilet. The length of the general smart toilet water inlet pipe is 0.6m. If the reserved water outlet is too far away, it is necessary to purchase an extended water inlet pipe of the same specification.

6. Check the circuit

The power cord should be connected to a three-hole AC power socket with wiring. The socket should be placed within the reach of the power cord and more than 0.3m from the ground. Generally, the length of the power cord that comes with the toilet is usually 1.2m-1.5m.

If the old-fashioned bathroom does not have reserved power, you can also consider pulling the plug or doing the circuit modification of the open circuit.

Seven, measure the water pressure

The water pressure of the general toilet inlet pipe needs to be between 0.2 and 0.75Mpa. If it does not meet the requirements, it cannot be installed, which will affect the flushing effect.

A simple measurement method: open the angle valve of the toilet installation position, and use a 5-liter cola bottle to collect water, and it can be filled with water within 15 seconds.
